Definitions you should know and Statutory language; d. Compare/contrast with the UEWA (Uniform Electronic Wills Act); e. How to apply the UEEPDA in practice.

Learning Objectives

After attending this presentation, participants will be able to: 1. Identify when it is recommended or not recommended for a client to execute estate planning (EP) documents electronically; 2. Identify what constitutes a validly executed EP document; 3. Be aware of potential problems, e.g. push back from financial institutions that may not want to accept the documents; 4. Be familiar with the statutes and definitions that are specific to the UEEPDA; 5. Have a working knowledge of how WA law differs from other states with similar acts.
