Description
2022 has been a period of dramatic change and volatility in the equity and fixed-income markets. Liquid-alternative mutual funds may offer investors a way to reduce the overall volatility in their portfolios. A less-than-clear understanding of liquid alternatives, or non-traditional mutual funds, has been identified in multiple surveys as a leading factor in their under-representation in client portfolios. This program is designed to demystify various types of liquid-alternative mutual funds, provide a simple process for classifying each type into one of three categories, and review the ways that liquid-alternative mutual funds can be incorporated into client portfolios.
