FPA along with the Foundation for Financial Planning and Kaplan have joined together to create this Pro Bono Financial Planning Volunteer Training to help financial planners understand the basics of how to provide pro bono service to underserved members of the community. This one-hour course is designed to give financial planners the skills and techniques to address the specific needs of lower-income families. Complete the Volunteer Training now to prepare for your pro bono engagements and receive a CE credit. This one-hour online course is designed to give CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP) professionals the skills and resources needed to address the unique needs and challenges of lower-income families. The Pro Bono Financial Planning Training Course is approved for one hour of continuing education (CE) credit by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards (CFP Board). After completing the course in its entirety, volunteers must take and pass the Pro Bono final exam to receive their CE credit.
