Description

This course takes students through the process of building a retirement income plan. After an introduction to the facts-and-figures, the steps required to build a plan, and building a retirement income practice, the course reviews each of the areas that need to be addressed in a retirement income plan. This includes making a preliminary calculation of a client’s financial readiness for retirement, strategies for addressing any shortfalls, tax and legal issues that can derail the plan, stress-testing the plan by reviewing the retirement risks that retirees face, and developing the appropriate strategy for converting assets into income.
