Ben Roberts, CPTD, SHRM-SCP
Ben Roberts, CPTD, SHRM-SCP joined CFP Board as Managing Director of Program Development in January 2026. In this role, Ben leads the innovation, development and delivery of programs, products and services that advance the financial planning profession for the benefit of the public. Ben and his team are responsible for initiatives that support CFP® professionals’ delivery of competent advice to their clients, assist CFP® professionals in complying with laws, regulations and CFP® certification standards and help candidates prepare for and pass the CFP® exam.
Before joining CFP Board, Ben served as Vice President, Global Human Resources and People Operations at Silverchair, an independent platform partner for scholarly and professional publishers, where he designed and delivered executive leadership development programs.
Previously, Ben was Senior Manager, Learning and Development at Deloitte, where he led a team managing leadership curricula and delivery for more than 180,000 professionals. He also directed Deloitte's award-winning Social Impact Portfolio, delivering programs that impacted over 8,000 Veterans and transitioning service members, and developed thousands of school leaders impacting over two million students globally. Ben also held program and leadership development roles at The Walt Disney Co., The Coca-Cola Co. and Strategic Education.
Ben holds an Executive MBA from West Virginia University and a bachelor's degree in business administration and human resource management from University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
