Adam Zajac, JD
Adam Zajac was named CFP Board’s Managing Director, Investigations and Counsel to the Head of Enforcement in April 2024. In this role, he leads a team of attorneys and legal staff in the investigation and prosecution activities to uphold the Code of Ethics and Standards of Conduct (Code and Standards) for CFP® professionals.
Adam joined CFP Board in 2009 as Compliance Counsel and has served in numerous roles supporting CFP Board’s Code and Standards. He became Adjudicatory Counsel in 2012, serving as counsel to the Disciplinary and Ethics Commission, and was promoted to Director of Adjudication in 2014 and to Director of Investigations and Counsel to Head of Enforcement in 2018.
Adam is currently a member of the Committee on Unauthorized Practice of Law for the District of Columbia Court of Appeals, which investigates complaints against persons alleged to have engaged in the unauthorized practice of law.
Adam holds a Master of Laws in securities and financial regulation from Georgetown University Law Center, a Juris Doctor from Wayne State University Law School and a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Michigan State University.
