The Kevin R. Keller Scholars Program supports academically successful first-generation college students enrolled in CFP Board Registered Programs as they pursue CFP® certification.
By combining financial support, professional development and community, the program helps students build the confidence, connections and preparation needed to succeed in the financial planning profession.

Kevin R. Keller, who served as CEO of CFP Board from 2007 to 2026, was also a first-generation college student. He understands firsthand how education, mentorship and opportunity can shape a career. The Keller Scholars Program honors his legacy by helping the next generation of students pursue CFP® certification and meaningful careers in financial planning.
