CFP Board Addresses AI Risk With New Ethics Guide

In response to the growing use of AI by financial advisors, CFP Board released the Generative AI Ethics Guide: A Checklist for Upholding the Code and Standards. Sara Cortes, Assistant General Counsel at CFP Board, explains that the guide was created to help CFP® professionals use AI in line with ethical standards, and Leo G. Rydzewski, CFP Board’s General Counsel, announces plans to form an AI Working Group to provide recommendations on AI's opportunities and risks in financial planning.
