Advocates Push for Retirement Savings Fixes During Lame Duck

Financial industry advocates are urging Congress to address unresolved issues in a law that expanded retirement plan eligibility, passed with bipartisan support in December 2022. Erin Koeppel, Managing Director of Government Relations and Public Policy Counsel at CFP Board, emphasizes that finding a suitable legislative vehicle in the upcoming lame-duck session is crucial for implementing the technical corrections needed to improve the law's impact on retirement plans.
