CFP Board's recognition of the Psychology of Financial Planning as a Principal Knowledge Domain has sparked interest in the field, according to Professor Andrew Waldum, Chair of the University of Arizona’s Personal and Family Financial Planning Program. CFP Board defines the Psychology of Financial Planning as “identifying and responding to attitudes, behaviors and situations that impact decision-making, the client-planner relationship and the client’s financial well-being.”
