FPRI TestimonialThe CFP Board Center for Financial Planning, in partnership with career reentry firm iRelaunch, has created the Financial Planner Reentry Initiative (FPRI) to connect firms in the financial planning sector with experienced professionals seeking to reenter the workforce after a career break.

FPRI supports firms in establishing return-to-work internships that create a pathway to employment for returning professionals and allows employers to increase the number of mid- to senior-level professionals in their ranks. FPRI is modeled after similar programs that have been proven successful in other areas of financial services, as well as in engineering and technology sectors.

2019 Internship Opportunities

Paid return-to-work internships will be offered in 2019 in various locations around the country. Below are the links to the internship programs at firms currently participating in FPRI. Click on the individual programs to learn more about the positions, locations and to apply.

Positions will be posted on this page as they become available. Check back often as updates will be made regularly. You can also indicate your interest by uploading your resume and completing the “Contact Us” form below.

The white paper, Financial Planner Re-Entry Initiative: Career Path for Professional Women in Financial Planning, discusses the pilot program’s model and its key components, initial hurdles, successes and outcomes shared by the participating firms, as well as insights from re-interns and firm program managers.

Firms that participated in the initial FPRI pilot included: Edelman Financial Engines and United Capital, both of which were sponsored by TD Ameritrade Institutional; Luma Wealth and Yeske Buie, sponsored by Schwab Advisor Services through the Schwab Foundation; and Fidelity Investments.
