Most Americans Didn't Learn Financial Basics in School. How States and Financial Advisors Are Changing That.
A recent Allianz Research study found that Americans lag behind peers in other developed countries on financial literacy, with one-third demonstrating low financial literacy and only 13% scoring in the highest category. Highlighting the need for greater financial education, CFP Board CEO K. Dane Snowden encouraged CFP® professionals to support schools through pro bono efforts and called for every state to implement financial literacy programs for high school students.
