CFPs and Their Clients Are More Optimistic Despite Inflation, War and Volatility

According to CFP Board’s Summer 2026 CFP® Professional Sentiment Index, CFP® professionals reported that client optimism has rebounded from a spring decline and is slightly higher than it was a year ago, despite concerns about inflation, affordability and market volatility. The survey also found growing optimism among CFP® professionals themselves, with 61% reporting a positive financial outlook, while most reported stable or growing client relationships over the past year.
