Gen Z Says TikTok Is the Least Trustworthy Place for Financial Advice — And Then Uses It Anyway

Gen Z continues to rely on TikTok for financial guidance despite viewing it as one of the least trustworthy sources, according to CFP Board’s research report Steering Clear of Financial Misinformation: A Survey of Americans. The report also finds that although skepticism is widespread, with about four in five Americans questioning online financial information monthly, 40% still turn to social media for advice, rising to 47% among adults under 45.
