Many wealth management firms are actively seeking career changers. Jason Gudenius, Managing Director of Workforce at CFP Board, notes that 29% of attendees at CFP Board’s virtual career fair in fall 2024 identified as career changers, and 34% of newly minted CFP® professionals come from other industries. Firms face less competition for those pursuing their CFP® certification while transitioning careers.
