Changes to Social Security Could Make Benefits Less Accessible

Experts warn that staff cuts and policy changes at the Social Security Administration (SSA) will make benefits harder to access. CFP Board Ambassador Elizabeth Yoder, CFP® notes changes will cause longer wait times for applicants and CFP Board Ambassador Jasmine Renae Ball, CFP® adds that many applicants struggle with unreliable internet access, making it even harder to navigate the system, especially with office closures on the horizon.
