CFP Board to Ease Certification Path for Advisors With Past Infractions

CFP Board has proposed speeding up the certification process for advisors with past bankruptcies or alcohol and drug-related misdemeanors, provided these issues are in the past and certain conditions are met. The proposal aims to streamline the ethical fitness review, though rulings will not be open to appeal.
