CFP Board Proposes New Process for Assessing Bankruptcy, Misdemeanors
CFP Board announced it is seeking public comment on a proposed rule change that would allow individuals with a history of bankruptcy or certain misdemeanor charges to obtain their CFP® marks. The proposal would create an expedited process for assessing candidates' fitness, allowing those with a single bankruptcy or drug or alcohol-related misdemeanors to apply for certification under specific conditions.
