Revised Terms and Conditions of Certification Take Effect May 2, 2016
CFP Board’s Terms and Conditions of Certification and License (“Terms”) have been revised. The revised Terms take effect on May 2, 2016, and include a new mandatory arbitration provision.
The Terms set forth the contractual agreement between CFP Board and each individual CFP® professional. The revised Terms provide additional details concerning the requirements for certification and grant of license to use the CFP® certification marks. Beginning May 2, 2016, the revised Terms apply to all current and future CFP® professionals. CFP Board encourages all CFP® professionals and candidates for CFP® certification to familiarize themselves with the revised Terms.
