Establishing Standards for Financial Planning

On February 16, 2010, the Financial Planning Coalition sent a letter to the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs announcing results of a new poll indicating overwhelming public support for higher standards for financial planning. The Coalition urged the Committee to include regulation of financial planners as part of the Financial Regulatory Bill currently under consideration by Congress.
