Description

Estate planning is, in essence, asset protection planning. Estate planners are tasked with helping a client to pass as much wealth as possible from generation to generation. There are many obstacles in the way of accomplishing that goal, from taxes to lawsuits to marriage to political and economic upheaval and beyond. This presentation and the accompanying materials will help the planner to identify those obstacles most likely to prevent the client from accomplishing their estate planning goals, to understand the do’s and don’ts of asset protection planning as a part of any well crafted estate plan, from the everyday to the very complex, from the black and white to the gray, and to protect both the client and the planner from undue and unnecessary risk while doing so.

Learning Objectives

Teach estate planners ways in which to incorporate an asset protection mindset and techniques into their everyday estate planning work
