Many people are concerned about how they will pay for long term care costs. The first step in long term care planning is to understand the risks that everyone faces. And, to understand how likely it is that an individual may need long term care. This course will discuss the cost of long term care and the client’s options for long term care protection. After attending this course the advisor will be better prepared to have the long-term care discussion and put a strategy in place for their clients.

Learning Objectives

Advisors or planner will have a clear understanding of the current landscape of LTC from the government stance on covering LTC costs and options to provide funding for those costs. The course outlines the stats involved with the specific costs such as room cost as well what the family gives up in the event of LTC no planning. Lastly the course specifically outlines the pros and cons of five different funding options for LTC.
