Webinar: A CFP® Professional’s Duty to Report Information to CFP Board
December 12, 2023 - 1:30 - 2:00 PM
Standard E.3. of CFP Board’s Code of Ethics and Standards of Conduct requires CFP® professionals to provide written notice to CFP Board within thirty (30) calendar days of both the initiation and conclusion of reportable matters. Effective January 1, 2024, the recommended sanction for failing to timely report to CFP Board will increase from a private censure to a public censure. This webinar, presented by Leo Rydzewski, CFP Board General Counsel, Tom Sporkin, CFP Board Head of Enforcement, and Erik Frias, CFP Board Director of Detection, will review the duty to report information to CFP Board, provide background on the importance of this duty, and share how CFP® professionals can self-report in a timely manner.
