CFP Board Applauds Reintroduction of Freedom to Invest in Tomorrow’s Workforce Act

CFP Board applauds the reintroduction of the bipartisan Freedom to Invest in Tomorrow’s Workforce Act in the House of Representatives. The bill would allow 529 plan owners to use those savings for fees and expenses required to obtain or maintain recognized postsecondary credentials, including professional certifications, such as the CFP Board certification (CFP® certification).

We commend Reps. Rob Wittman (R-VA) and Steven Horsford (D-NV), as well as the bill’s cosponsors, for reintroducing this vital piece of legislation. We look forward to working with them to push the bicameral bill through Congress.
