Update CFP® Professional Search Profile

The goal of CFP Board's Public Awareness Campaign is to raise the awareness of CFP® certification. The campaign advertisements lead to a microsite, www.letsmakeaplan.org, which prominently features a "Find a CFP® Professional" tool to help consumers identify and connect with CFP® professionals near them who can assist them with their financial planning needs.

The search functions on the letsmakeaplan.org site and on CFP Board's main website, CFP.net, have been updated with an enhanced search function designed to provide consumers with more useful information about the CFP® professionals they may choose to work with.

IMPORTANT NOTE: To be included in the enhanced search functionality, CFP® professionals must update their information with CFP Board through their online CFP Board accounts.

For your business information to be included in results generated by the enhanced CFP® professional search tool, you must be a current CFP® professional and:

  • Agree to the Terms and Conditions of participation
  • Include a specific "Search" address in your records with CFP Board;
  • Identify yourself as a practicing financial planner; and
  • Indicate that you currently accept new clients.

All of this information can be provided through your online CFP Board account.
