About CFP Board

CEO Message

February 2012

Welcome to CFP Board’s new website! I am pleased to introduce you to the first phase of a comprehensive redesign of our and websites.

This website redesign reflects needed improvements to the technical back-end of our websites, introduces a fresh look and feel, and provides clearer navigation options for all of our important stakeholders.  We expect this new website will take you more quickly to the resources you are familiar with, as well as introduce you to useful resources you may not have encountered before.

In addition to general sprucing-up, we've added some new features to the website:

  • Our “Find a CE Program” tool introduces more robust search options to assist CFP® professionals in finding continuing education opportunities that meet their needs.
  • Our “Find a CFP® Professional” tool has been updated with additional search options to help the public find CFP® professionals available to meet their financial planning needs.  Through this tool, individuals can now contact a CFP® professional with an inquiry or appointment request.
  • CFP® professionals can provide prospective clients with additional information about their business through the “Find a CFP® Professional” tool. We encourage all CFP® professionals to log in and review or update their search profiles; for those professionals not currently participating in the “Find a CFP® Professional” tool, we invite you to take another look and consider participating.

Many of the improvements you see on this new website resulted directly from suggestions we received from our stakeholders, and we will continue our work to improve CFP Board’s web presence, including needed updates to our secure sites.

We invite you to explore this new site, and we welcome your thoughts on this new site.  Please feel free to send feedback or suggestions to us at
