The combined 2005 Firm Meeting and Program Directors Conference - Explore the Future of Financial Planning: Synergies and Opportunities was a real success! The participation of so many passionate financial planning educators and employers provided an atmosphere that fostered the feeling of collaboration and sharing – attributes that will go a long way in shaping the future of the financial planning profession. This year’s meeting focused on the future - from the keynote presentation, "Implications of the Changing Demographics" to a panel discussion entitled, "The Next Generation of Financial Planners?" to exploring new ways of interacting with CFP Board through new technology, processes and procedures. It wouldn't be a CFP Board event if it didn’t include some fun activities as well! On Friday night, participants received a glimpse into the future as we transformed the ballroom into an urban carnival complete with fortune tellers, tarot card readers, magicians, jugglers and street entertainers.
