Over the years, CFP Board’s financial planning clinics have made a positive difference in the lives of thousands of individuals and families across the country. Organized as stand-alone events or as part of other events, the clinics enable consumers to meet one-on-one with volunteer CFP® professionals and seek free financial guidance and advice. The clinics are organized in a unique, pressure-free setting and the advice comes with no strings attached.
In addition to one-on-one consultations, the clinics can also include classroom-style educational workshops that feature experienced CFP® professionals discussing key personal finance topics. Clinic attendees have come away with information and advice on a wide range of topics, ranging from general financial planning to investment and insurance planning to retirement and estate planning.
The financial planning clinics help people experience first-hand how financial planning can improve their lives by bringing the expertise of CFP® professionals to individuals and families who may not have a financial planner or access to competent and ethical financial planning advice. Feedback from attendees has been overwhelmingly positive and in post-event surveys virtually all indicated they would recommend clinics to family and friends.

Financial Planning Days
CFP Board has joined forces with three national non-profit organizations – Financial Planning Association®, the Foundation for Financial Planning, and the U.S. Conference of Mayors – to offer annual Financial Planning Days each October, with events in cities around the country.
