2011 CFP® Professionals Survey

In July-August 2011, CFP Board commissioned a survey of CFP® professionals, soliciting information about their experiences with the CFP® certification and their views of the CFP® certification requirements. The survey was conducted by Westat, Inc. of Rockville, Maryland.

2008 Certificant Survey

In November-December 2008, CFP Board commissioned a survey of CFP® professionals, soliciting information about their experiences with the CFP® certification and their views of the CFP® certification requirements. The survey was conducted by Westat, Inc. of Rockville, Maryland.

October 2008 Pulse Survey:
CFP® Certificant Views of the Current Economic Situation

From October 9-16, 2008, CFP Board invited CFP® professionals to share their views of the current economic situation. 5,261 CFP® certificants responded to the short online survey. Results showed that many clients of CFP® professionals were responding to the recent market turmoil with confidence in their existing strategies. The results also show that only about 1 in 10 CFP® certificants thought the government's “Rescue Bill” would “Definitely” improve the economy.
