Senior-level Position Focused on Building Relationships, Raising Visibility

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. (CFP Board) announced today that it has hired John M. Loper, CFP® as Director of Corporate Relations, a position to help the organization strengthen its presence in the financial services marketplace.

The Director of Corporate Relations will serve as a contact for key executives at financial service firms. This position is vitally important to increasing top financial service firms’ preference for and investment in CFP® certification. The role is also central to CFP Board’s overall growth strategy and will be responsible for leading key initiatives.

Additional responsibilities of the position include supporting efforts to incorporate CFP® certification in firms practices as well as their new adviser training and professional development programs. Loper was also a Director at TIAA-CREF Wealth Management Group and previously held leadership positions at Ameriprise Financial for more than ten years. His past experience also includes serving as Captain in the U.S. Air Force.
