This free informational Webinar updated CFP® certificants and other CFP Board stakeholders on CFP Board's recent activities and key issues related to CFP® certification, with a look ahead to CFP Board’s plans for 2010.

THe Webinar was presented in an interactive format hosted by Stewart H. Welch, III, CFP®. Panelists Marilyn Capelli Dimitroff, CFP®, 2009 Chair of the Board of Directors, Robert J. Glovsky, CFP®, 2009 Chair-Elect, and Kevin R. Keller, CAE, CFP Board's CEO, provided updates on CFP Board’s heightened engagement on public policy issues and work with the Financial Planning Coalition, as well as updates on the 2009 Job Analysis Study and the recent proposal for a financial plan development course requirement for those seeking to attain CFP® certification. The panelists also provided an overview of CFP Board's plans for 2010 and addressed questions from the audience.

CFP Board held this free informational Webinar (not for continuing education credit) to update CFP® certificants and other CFP Board stakeholders on CFP Board's activities and key issues related to CFP® certification and give certificants an opportunity to ask questions and provide their input. More than 500 individuals participated in the live presentation on July 9, 2008.

This inaugural Webinar featured David G. Strege, CFP®, Chair of CFP Board’s Board of Directors, Marilyn Capelli Dimitroff, CFP®, Chair-Elect of the Board of Directors, and Kevin R. Keller, CAE, CFP Board’s CEO, and focused on CFP Board's mission and strategic direction, as well as its revised ethical standards and their enforcement. The Webinar was presented in an interactive format and hosted by Stewart H. Welch, III, CFP® of The Welch Group in Birmingham, Alabama, who previously served on CFP Board’s Board of Directors and Board of Professional Review (now Disciplinary and Ethics Commission).

The Webinar included two polling questions related to CFP Board's revised Standards of Professional Conduct, which has an effective date of July 1, 2008 and an enforcement date of January 1, 2009.
