What are CFP Board-Registered Programs?
CFP Board-Registered Programs are financial planning education programs at the college or university level that meet specific criteria for educating individuals who wish to fulfill the education component for obtaining CFP® certification. Read more about CFP Board-Registered Programs.

How can my institution benefit from offering a CFP Board-Registered Program?
Personal financial planning was rated as the number one profession in America by Jobs Rated Almanac in 2000 and continues to attract a growing number of college students and career changers. Read more about CFP Board-Registered Programs.

How can my institution register a financial planning curriculum with CFP Board?
To register a program, an institution must submit an application for review by CFP Board. Download the Curriculum Registration Criteria and Application Form.

Contact CFP Board at 800-487-1497 or education@cfpboard.org for more information about the registration process.

Already a CFP Board-Registered Program?
Once a program is registered, CFP Board provides tools and resources for marketing the program to prospective students.

Registration with CFP Board must be renewed periodically. Renewal applications are sent to Registered Programs several months in advance of the renewal deadline. For more information about the renewal process, please contact CFP Board’s education department at 800-487-1497 or education@cfpboard.org.

Mailing Lists
CFP Board-Registered programs may request to receive quarterly mailing lists of individuals who have requested a copy of CFP Board’s Guide to CFP® Certification booklet. The lists may be used for the express purpose of promoting your CFP Board-Registered Program. The mailing lists are provided free of charge, and each quarter’s mailing list typically contains the names and addresses of several hundred individuals who have expressed interest in CFP® certification. If you are interested in receiving these mailing lists, please download the List Request Form or contact education@cfpboard.org.

Does your program have a review course that is offered to the public? If so you may be interested in purchasing a mailing list of candidates who have registered for the CFP® Certification Examination. Mailing lists of individuals registered for the next CFP® Certification Examination may be purchased for purposes of promoting materials or services that prepare individuals to take the CFP® Certification Examination. For information about list options and pricing, and to request a list, download the CFP Board Mailing List Order Form.

Reduced CFP® Certification Examination Fee for CFP Board-Registered Program Faculty
